Students of Delhi World Public School, Grade 12, recently explored one of the most fascinating wonders of Physics – the dispersion of light through a prism. 🌈
When a narrow beam of white light was passed through a glass prism, something magical happened: the single ray split into a band of seven colors – Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, and Red. This spread of colors is called a spectrum.
But behind this magic lies pure science – each color of light has a different wavelength, and as the prism bends the rays, they refract at different angles.
